One month to go until the 2021 Felixstowe Book Festival, the bookish excitement starts now! We are very much looking forward sharing our wonderful varied programme this year. With some events taking place online and others in person at our fantastic festival location Harvest House, this will be a festival like no other. Time to draw your attention to our marvellous selection of festival workshops…
Anyone wanting to flex their creative writing skills might be interested in getting involved in a creative writing workshop. Inkeeping with our festival theme of ‘books by the sea’, the Orwell Writers will be running three creative writing workshops, based around the theme ‘The shoreline’. These will be fun, interactive and informal sessions for new and experienced writers alike. Although there is a central theme, each workshop will be complete in itself, and will address a specific aspect of writing.
I don’t know about you, but over the past year I have found a great deal of comfort and solace in radio. Both a reminder of and an escape from the real world, radio has also taught me to listen more than I used to. Fans of radio will enjoy getting involved in our Writing Audio Drama workshop. Andrew Burton will take any budding audio writers through a masterclass in writing for listeners.
Plenty of room here for lots of creativity – with a month to go, it’s time to get booking!
