So, we know you’ve all been on tenterhooks, and we’re now able to officially announce the winner and runners up of this year’s adult short story competition! The standard was higher than ever this year, but the judges felt that these three writers best captured our theme of ‘In the Margins’ in their stories.
In first place is ‘Fellos’, by Libby Ruffle! Congratulations to Libby, who wins a cash prize of £50, a year’s subscription to the EADT Suffolk Magazine, and the chance of her story being published in the magazine too!
The two runners up are ‘The Stacks and the Fifty Foot Woman’, by Clare Kirwan, and ‘The Night Visitor’, by Veronica Bright. Congratulations to Clare and Veronica! They each win a cash prize of £10.
Make sure you come along to our ‘Bedtime Story‘ event a week from today, where you’ll have the opportunity to hear their fantastic entries read aloud. We can’t wait!
