SUMMARY:Daniel Hahn: The Oxford Companion to Children’s Literature
DESCRIPTION:The last thirty years have transformed the world of children's
 literature. They have brought us picture books like The Gruffalo\, gritt
 y ‘young adult’ fiction and everything in between - not least a certai
 n boy wizard called Harry Potter. And of course all their great predecesso
 rs are still very much with us - among them  Roald Dahl\, whose centenary
  we celebrate this year. These much-loved books and thousands more feature
  in the new Oxford Companion to Children’s Literature\, the editor of w
 hich\, Daniel Hahn\, will be joining us to discuss their enduring appeal.
 He will be in conversation with writer\, former bookseller and lifelong r
 eader Julia Jones.   \nPhoto by John Lawrence\n\n&nbsp\;
