DESCRIPTION:Three authors look at mental health and suicide\, and discuss how it relates to their own writing. Dan Mooney’s debut novel\, Me Myself and Them is an exploration of self-destruction and coping with mental health issues. Martin Bannister has taught creative writing in Wandsworth Prison and graffiti to teenagers who have been excluded from mainstream education. His debut novel A Map of Nowhere was written after a period of employment as a support worker for people with mental health problems. Matt Johnson is a novelist\, whose previous work as a police officer included talking people down from ledges.\n\n\n\nThis session is dedicated to the memory of Mark Furnace  29/01/1972- 30/11/2015. Mark’s partner will be taking part in the 2017 London marathon to raise money for CALM. The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is dedicated to preventing male suicide in the UK.
