SUMMARY:Male suicide: Stories of life\, death and surviving
DESCRIPTION:Three authors look at mental health and suicide\, and discuss h
 ow it relates to their own writing. Dan Mooney’s debut novel\, Me Myself
  and Them is an exploration of self-destruction and coping with mental hea
 lth issues. Martin Bannister has taught creative writing in Wandsworth Pri
 son and graffiti to teenagers who have been excluded from mainstream educa
 tion. His debut novel A Map of Nowhere was written after a period of emplo
 yment as a support worker for people with mental health problems. Matt Joh
 nson is a novelist\, whose previous work as a police officer included talk
 ing people down from ledges.\n\n\n\nThis session is dedicated to the memor
 y of Mark Furnace  29/01/1972- 30/11/2015. Mark’s partner will be takin
 g part in the 2017 London marathon to raise money for CALM. The Campaign A
 gainst Living Miserably (CALM) is dedicated to preventing male suicide in
