From his window at the top of his tower block, Ade loves to see the whole world stretching out beneath him. But one day something extraordinary starts to happen. The tower blocks around Ade’s home start to crumble. Strange, menacing plants are appearing from nowhere. Soon Ade’s block is the only one still standing and there’s no way out…
Local school book groups will be interviewing Polly Ho-Yen as she talks about her extraordinary début novel Boy in the Tower which was nominated for the Carnegie Medal and short-listed for the Blue Peter Book Award and Waterstones Children’s Book Prize.
Recommended for ages 9+. Children under 12 must be accompanied by adult. Adults also require a ticket.
This event is a joint meeting with Suffolk Book League
