Ever-popular speaker Liz Trenow returns to the Festival for the third year to talk about her latest novel. The anniversary of WW1, the work of the real-life Poppy Factory and meeting a remarkable young woman army medic who served in Afghanistan all helped to inspire The Poppy Factory, published by Harper Collins. It has been Liz’s most successful novel yet, remaining in the best-seller lists for several months, and her publishers have donated 10p per copy to the Poppy Factory charity. Liz is a former BBC TV and radio journalist who was brought up in Suffolk and now lives over the border in Colchester.
