SUMMARY:Patrick Galbraith Uncommon Ground: Rethinking our relationship with
  the countryside
DESCRIPTION:Patrick Galbraith takes us on an extraordinary tour of rural Br
itain\, from the Hebrides to Devon\, and from Anglo-Saxon England to the p
resent day. To understand fully our deep connection with the land\, he mee
ts farmers\, Irish Travellers\, politicians\, salmon poachers\, and the na
tion's most-hated landowners\, as well as activists calling for a total ab
olition of the right to own land.\nUncommon Ground argues that what matter
s is not greater access but how we engage with the land and demands that l
andowners give us more opportunities to do so\, while also giving endanger
ed wildlife the right to tranquillity.\nIn conversation with Catherine Lar
ner. NB: Online ticket sales will end on Friday 26th June pm. However ther
e may still be the possibility of purchasing on the desk at the Festival o
 n the day. \n\n[gallery ids="14991\,15019"]
