DESCRIPTION:80 years ago\, in 1939\, 10\,000 children travelled by train fr
 om Germany to Harwich. They were adopted by families from around the UK an
 d became known as the 'Kindertransport'.\n\nStoryteller Elly Crichton Stua
 rt shares a story of two children\, who left their home in Düsseldorf to 
 travel across Germany and Holland to arrive in safety in Harwich. Their pa
 rents paid £50 per child and waved them goodbye at the station\, never to
  see them again.\n\nTickets on the door £2 (which includes entry to the M
 useum). Suitable for adults and children aged 9 +.\n\nAfter the event ther
 e will be an optional excursion on the Felixstowe to Harwich Ferry with El
