DESCRIPTION:Playwright Shamser Sinha says '\n\n\n\n'While I want to tell stories\, what is considered my story to tell is put upon me and other brown writers. Theatres often want the 'migration story' or the 'identity story' as they see it. But what about if I want to write outside of what my story is considered to be?  What about if I want to write a rural story about a young women who is neurodiverse and a young man who lives in a shed? Am I allowed to do that?’\n\nShamser is currently under commission to the National Theatre for SAMPHIRE. Previous productions include OUR WHITE SKODA OCTAVIA (Eastern Angles/Derby Theatre and touring)\, THREE SAT UNDER THE BANYAN TREE (for 7+) Tara Arts/Polka Theatre and touring)\, THE DISSDENTS (Tricycle Theatre)\, and KHADIJA IS 18 (Finborough Theatre)\n\nIn conversation with BBC presenter Angelle Joseph
