Come and discover more about the Sutton Hoo story. Handle stunning replicas of some of the treasures found including the helmet, buckle and shoulder clasp. The Sutton Hoo team will tell you about the site’s fascinating history. Dress up as an Anglo-Saxon, try on the helmet or have a go at creating your own shield.
A marvellous introduction to the next event, at 3pm: Operation Buried Treasure with Ally Sherrick. Ally’s story is woven around the discovery of the Sutton Hoo treasure.
