Pamela Holmes’s first novel was published when she was 60 and her second hit the bookshops two years later. If you’ve always harboured a wish to start writing but perhaps wonder if it’s a bit late, come to her workshop for inspiration and ideas to get going.

Themes:

  • Abandoning blocks to creativity – where did our confidence go?
  • Thinking like a writer – using your senses and experience
  • The joy of writing – tips on getting started

Pamela Holmes was born in Charleston, South Carolina and moved to England when she was eight years old.  She’s lived on a Somerset commune, worked as nurse and on-screen reporter and sings in a rock band.  In 2014, she won the Jane Austen Short Story Award.  Her novels The Huntingfield Paintress (2016) and Wyld Dreamers (2018) are published by Urbane.
