We regret that Rose Tremain has had to cancel her appearance at the Festival due to personal reasons.
If you bought tickets for Rose Tremain, you will be contacted to see if you would like a ticket for our replacement event with Laura Thompson or a refund.

Bestselling author Rose Tremain joins us to talk about The Gustav Sonata, a gripping story of the struggle for love and the healing power of lasting friendship.  The Gustav Sonata begins in 1930s Switzerland, under the shadow of the Second World War, and follows two young boys into maturity and middle age, where their friendship is tested as never before. This event is chaired by Nicola Upson.
