Delaine Le Bas talks more about her artistic project Safe European Home? This multi-faceted installation artistic project deals with homelessness, financial instability, questioning stereotypes, the problems of nationalism and the scapegoats of migration. It calls attention to the increasing levels of social insecurity, fear and inequality in Europe generally, while initiating a discussion about measures which might be taken to provide equitable standards of living for groups such as the Roma-Gypsy communities. Safe European Home? was first constructed outside the Parliament building in Vienna in 2011 and continues to tour.
