LIVE PROGRAMME

Our Festival Patron, Terry Waite’s first book was Taken on Trust, published in 1993. It was initially ‘written’ in his head in the almost five years he spent as a hostage in Beirut. He has since written nine more books and is appearing at this year’s Festival to talk about his books, his thoughts on life and solitude, laughter and friendship and how his experiences may be able to help us cope in the strange Covid world in which we are all living.

Terry is interviewed by Rachel Sloane an experienced radio presenter, feature writer and facilitator who conducted live streamed interviews for the Festival in 2020 as well as interviewing in previous years.
