Produced in collaboration with the Wildlife Trusts, Britain’s Living Seas provides a richly illustrated guide to the coasts around the British Isles, uncovering the diversity of life within a range of marine habitats from kelp forests and rocky reefs to mud plains and the open ocean. Marine biologist Hannah Rudd outlines the threats to these incredible habitats and the life- giving services that they provide us. She presents ideas for an alternative and sustainable future for the management of our seas to create a healthier future for our oceans. She also offers practical ideas on how we, as individuals, can make daily choices which will help to conserve our marine ecosystems.
Hannah Rudd is a marine biologist and writer specialising in shark science. She grew up on the Essex coast and the sea always fascinated her. She works for Shark Hub UK, gathering data on British shark species.
