New for this year is a small exhibition of paintings by a group of local artists working on the Festival theme of ‘in the margins’. Felixstowe resident Ken Cuthbert runs an informal art group where he sets the artists a theme each month and they discuss their work at the following meeting. When it was suggested that the group use the Festival theme as an inspiration, Ken and the group were enthusiastic and delighted to be involved. The paintings complement the literary focus of the Festival and will be on display throughout the Orwell Hotel during the Festival weekend.
