A special digital Felixstowe Festival event in partnership with Untold’s write Afghanistan project to celebrate the celebration of My Pen is the Wing of a bird; New Fiction by Afghan Women, the first anthology of short fiction in translation by Afghan women.
Contributors of the book join novelist and Royal Literary Fellow Ruth Dugdall who will discuss these vital, unexpected short stories that are both unique and universal – stories of family, work, childhood, friendship, war, gender identity and cultural traditions and how this anthology was developed.
