Orwell Writers will be running three creative writing workshops, based around the theme ‘The shoreline’. These will be fun, interactive and informal sessions for new and experienced writers alike. Although there is a central theme, each workshop will be complete in itself, and will address a specific aspect of writing.
Sessions last 1 ¼ hours, at a cost of £4 per session, or £9.99 for the full day’s programme. Capacity is 18 people per session.

- Language and vocabulary.10 – 11.15 Explore the rich variety of language and vocabulary around the theme ‘The shoreline’, with the objective of creating your own store of shoreline related words/phrases for future use.
- Body language, actions and dialogue 11.45 – 1 Explore the ways in which dialogue can be enriched by noting the body language and actions of the speaker.
- Free writing 2 – 3.15. Free writing session on the theme ‘The Shoreline’. For anyone attending just this workshop, the findings of the earlier sessions will be briefly revisited before writing begins. There will be the opportunity to share your work at the end of the session if you wish to do so.
