2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the 1953 North Sea floods, the worse in a century in the UK. Jean Macpherson’s book recounts the testimonies of over 50 people to create an account of how the storm surge affected Felixstowe. There will also be a display of a commemorative quilt and other artefacts.
