Tracy Chevalier is the author of nine novels, including New Boy, a retelling of Othello for the Shakespeare Project. She is best known for the international bestseller Girl with a Pearl Earring. She grew up in Washington DC but now lives in London with her husband and son. Her next novel is set at Winchester Cathedral in the 1930s. Chaired by Nicola Upson.
